Cooking Tips
Beef Burgers
The USDA recommends cooking ground beef to an internal temperature of 160F. Below are some tips on ways to keep your burgers juicy and delicious:
- Indent the center of your burger with a thumbprint. Beef burgers plump when you cook them and many people flatten them with a spatula, squeezing the juices out of the burger.
- Cook the burger until a crust forms on the bottom, then flip the burger to cook the opposite side. Premature flipping can cause the burger to crumble and lets all the juices seep out!
- Use meat thermometer to ensure burger is cooked all the way through to the proper temperature.
- Cooking times vary due to the cooking equipment used.
